Death and Digital Estates

The goal of this post is to outline different companies view on what happens to your Digital Estate on your death. This is not looking at either the legality of their positions or the transferring content between living people.

Dark Horse Comics have no offical policy. The support staff recomend sharing your user details as part of your will.
Comixology do not allow it at this time.
Apple iTunes have an offical method of tranferring accounts. To make use of this you need to supply Apple with
  •  A copy of the death certificate of the account holder.
  •  A legal document confirming the right to transfer the deceased's property.
Amazon will close the account (taking the content with it) on request but the support staff suggested sharing your user details.
Google support staff suggested passing on your account details.
Steam do not support it at this time.

More than I would like don’t support it at all, and for those that do it is an afterthought. Alas none support transferring individual assets.
